이번 시간엔 실즈 앤 크로프츠’의 노래 ‘Summer Breeze(여름 산들바람)’ 가사를 해석해 보겠습니다.

노래의 배경 이야기

 

 

 

이 노래는 원곡자인 ‘실스 앤 크로프츠’ 말고도 여러 가수가 불렀는데요. 특히 1974년에 영국 악단 ‘아이슬리 브라더스(Isley Brothers)’가 소울풍으로 편곡해서 불러서 인기를 끌었습니다. 그런가 하면, 1993년에 ‘타입 오 네거티브(Type O Negative)’가 부른 노래도 유명한데요. ‘타입 오 네거티브’는 혈액형의 마이너스 O형이란 뜻입니다. 시끄러우면서도 괴기스럽게 연주하는 고딕 메탈 음악 전문 악단인데요. ‘타입 오 네거티브가’ 부른 ‘Summer Breeze’는 실스 앤 크로프츠의 원곡과는 분위기가 아주 다르게 음산합니다. 덕분에 이 노래는 1997년 공포 영화 ‘나는 네가 지난여름에 한 일을 알고 있다(I Know What You Did Last Summer)’에 삽입곡으로 쓰이기도 했습니다. -끝-
